Amar Choudhury
Amar Choudhury ((ベンガル語:অমর চৌধুরী), born 1898, date of death unknown) was a Bengali film actor, director, editor and writer. He directed ''Jamai Shashthi'' ((ベンガル語:জামাই ষষ্ঠী)) in 1931 produced by Madan Theatre Limited, credited as the first Bengali talkie. It was released in the same year as ''Alam Ara'', the first Indian talkie on 11 April 1931 at Crown Cinema Hall in Calcutta.
